A Warm Welcome
Core functions
The Swiss AGO is a working group within the Swiss Society for Gynaecology and Obstetrics (SGGG).
The Swiss AGO supports quality care for patients suffering from cancer of the reproductive organs and breasts, conducts clinical studies, organises training sessions, and develops educational material in this area for Patients. Its members are gynaecologists with a profound interest in gynaecological oncology. In the extended board, specialists representing additional fields can have a seat as well.
Within the framework of the tasks of the Swiss Society of Gynaecology and Obstetrics, the Swiss AGO deals specifically with the clinical, scientific and organisational concerns of gynaecological oncology. It deals with these issues in the Swiss Society of Gynaecology and Obstetrics and in the Swiss Association for Clinical Cancer Research (SAKK). The Swiss AGO exclusively pursues activities of public interest. To improve trial performance, the Swiss AGO has founded its own trial group, the Swiss GO Trial Group.
